The Way I See It: Save Wilderness Canoeing
Hello everyone, This is going to be a short and sweet editorial, because there's no way I can say it any better than the following link. All I ask is that you consider how important Canada's canoe routes are to you. Think about it for a minute. What would you do if you didn't have the lakes and rivers of Canada to paddle each year - to relieve your stress and to calm your city-frayed nerves? Just how important are our canoe routes? I think most of you will agree with me when I say that they are very important. There is currently a new organization, Save Wilderness Canoeing, which is working towards preserving these precious resources. I encourage all of you to visit their website, located at www.canoeroutes.org and find out as much as possible about this! If you are a member of a canoe club or organization, mention it to them! Support from as many people as possible is necessary - the more support we have, the more serious the government will take the organization! Darren Cope February 23, 2002 |
